Pressure isn’t always the answer

Concrete and brick can take real pressure. Siding, roofs and older wood cannot — those get a low-pressure soft wash and the right cleaning solution instead. High pressure on a roof strips the granules off the shingles and takes years off it. High pressure on siding drives water in behind it. Matching the method to the surface is most of this job, and it’s the part that protects your house.

Why things go green so fast here

Our humidity and tree cover mean mold and algae come back quicker in Forsyth County than they would somewhere dry. North-facing walls and anything sitting in shade stay damp the longest, so they are the first to turn. Once a year keeps most homes ahead of it — and cleaning is a great deal cheaper than replacing siding or a roof.
